We empower researchers across all disciplines to harness artificial intelligence (AI),
accelerate scientific discovery, and advance research excellence,
while supporting the human-centered translation of research outcomes into societal impact.
We are building a shared, AI-driven research foundation that connects and transforms disciplines across the university, including the humanities and social sciences. Through our AI for Science program, SPReAD, we bring together AI researchers and domain experts, support exploratory and interdisciplinary research, and strengthen partnerships with leading universities and industry partners worldwide. Our goal is to establish a globally recognized hub for AIX research and innovation.
Overview
Mission
- Build and advance a shared AI research infrastructure that connects and transforms all academic disciplines, including the humanities and social sciences.
- Facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration and support exploratory, seed-stage projects that generate novel ideas and future breakthroughs.
- Establish a world-leading international hub for AIX research and innovation, inspired by the MIT Media Lab model.
